Ben Okri, the Booker Prizewinning author of The Famished Road, reads from and discusses his new collection, a fusion of stories and poetry, where haikus and short fiction meet. Tales of Freedom is a remarkable collection of haunting pieces, transporting us beyond our usual perceptions via the chemistry of words and language. Ben Okri, who was born in Nigeria and lives in London, has published nine novels, two volumes of short stories, as well as collections of poetry and essays. He has won innumerable international literary prizes and was awarded an OBE in 2000.
