Cinecity is delivered annually each November/December. Presented in partnership with City Screens The Duke of Yorks Picture House and the University of Brighton, Cinecity presents the very best in international cinema and features a global mix of UK premieres and previews, treasures from the archives plus the latest digital adventures and artists moving images. The festival is also a key platform for features and short films made in the region and works to promote and support the local film industry through specialist panel and workshop events. Visiting film makers in 2008 included renowned director Mike Hodges, maverick animators The Quay Brothers and producer Keith Griffiths. Festival Patrons include city residents Nick Cave, John Hillcoat and Steve Coogan.
