Pub Chilli Eating Challenge
Throughout September ed local pubs will host the Fiery Foods UK Chilli Eating Competition. Enjoy the suffering as 'chilli heads' battle it out for the most resilient taste bud crown. Each contestant sits looking at a cool glass of lager they are not permitted to drink... or they are out. Round by round they eat whole Scotch Bonnets, then the Naga chilli (hottest in the world), then a spoonful of Dragons Blood, then down half pint of Black Death chilli beer. If they survive that, then the Dragon Slayer comes into play and the last two must endure 15 seconds of the lethally hot 'Danger'. Winners appear in the final at the Fiery Food Festival.
